Adam Levine left the Voice last month and it is safe to say that his best friend on the show, Blake Shelton will find it hard to no longer have him on. After all, the two have been in the singing competition’s jury for all 16 seasons and their dynamic is perhaps everyone’s favorite!
While in attendance at the Backlot BBQ with Blake Shelton for IHG Rewards Club Chase Mastercard cardholders, the country crooner chatted with ET about his pal’s exit from The Voice and he admitted that it was ‘hard’ to see him go.
‘I can’t imagine, honestly, what the show is gonna feel like at first without Adam there. I mean, we are about to start filming the 17th season and Adam has been my frenemy from day one, down there on the end. I think we knew, on the inside of the show, that he was ready to make a move,’ Blake shared.
He went on to also dish that ‘For a guy like Adam, who is just – he is the most ADD person I think I’ve met – to have even done it for as long as he did without wanting to move on to the next thing, is just amazing. But I know he is happy with his decision. Does not mean I am, or any of us, but at least they were able to soften the blow a little and bring Gwen back.’
As fans know, on May 24, it was announced by Carson Daly that Adam would not be part of season 17 due to his own decision.
About his reaction to the news, Blake admitted that it’s going to be difficult since they were so ‘comfortable’ on screen together.

However, Blake was quick to add that he and his girlfriend Gwen, ‘click too!‘
