The city of Biddeford, Maine is grieving the devastating loss of 31-year-old Cheryl Anderson, who passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 20th 2023 at her home in Hills Beach. Cheryl leaves behind heartbroken parents, husband, siblings, nieces, nephews, and countless others mourning her sudden passing.
Beloved Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Wife
Cheryl Anderson was born on December 5th, 1991 in Sanford, Maine to parents Norma Jean Pettegrow and George Edward Anderson of Biddeford. She graduated from Cheverus High School in 2010 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Catholic University of America in Washington D.C.
At just 31 years old, Cheryl had her entire life ahead of her. She worked as a successful project manager and married her loving husband Joseph Poupard. Cheryl also leaves behind four grieving sisters and seven cherished nieces and nephews whose lives she touched deeply.
Gifted Engineer and Talented Musician
Professionally, Cheryl thrived as a civil engineer, most recently managing construction of a major CRISPR facility in Boston. Friends and colleagues admired her brilliant intellect and strong work ethic.
Outside of work, Cheryl pursued her passions for music and cooking. She was a gifted violinist, pianist, guitarist and singer who often filled her family's home with beautiful melodies. Cheryl also loved preparing delicious meals for her loved ones.
Cherished Memories with Family
Cheryl had an especially close bond with her family and dog Meatball, who brought her constant joy. She loved traveling with them, particularly to Walt Disney World where they created countless special memories over the years.
Cheryl looked forward to flights with her father, who owns a plane. The sorrow of her family speaks volumes about the loving, vibrant spirit they have lost. Though she left them far too soon, Cheryl's memory will remain in their hearts.
