Shania Twain to Perform at CMA Awards

We are less than two weeks away from the release of the most anticipated album of the decade; Shania Twain’s ‘Now’. The eagerly anticipated record is Twain’s first studio LP release in fifteen years and follows on from the diamond selling ‘Up!‘ which was the 52-year-old’s fourth release.

Her music comeback was derailed for more than a decade due to losing her singing, and talking voice through Lyme’s disease. She was bitten by a Tick back in 2004 just as she was wrapping the Up! world tour. The hitmaker who is the most successful female country artist of all time had a number of checks on her vital organs and received the all clear from the doctors, however a few months later she started having serious problems with her vocals but it wasn’t until around 2011 that the experts finally realised that her issues were down to Lyme’s.

Thankfully, after lots of therapy Shania Twain was able to sing again, but her voice will never be 100% again and she likens her vocal issues to a “sports injury“. But with a number of exercises the queen of country is able to gain control over her voice and this has enabled her to get into the studio for the ‘Now’ record.

Now‘ will be released on September 29th and will feature the official hit singles ‘Life’s About To Get Good‘, and ‘Swingin’ With My Eyes Closed‘, along with the instant-grat tracks ‘Poor Me‘ and ‘We Got Something They Don’t‘. The deluxe version will feature 16 new songs all written entirely by Shania.
